Summary
Jianmo (Jyen-Mo) Yang, an architectural designer and LEED Accredited Professional, seamlessly blends her expertise in architecture and art. Her name, “Jianmo,” literally means “simple path” or “quiet trail,” symbolizing a calm and thoughtful journey—a philosophy that resonates in both her life and work. Originally from Guiyang, China, she began her architectural studies in Tianjin in 2012 and earned her Master of Architecture degree from UCLA in 2021.
Specializing in advanced 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic presentation, Jianmo brings a dynamic and versatile skill set to her work. Previously based in Berkeley, California, she amassed three and a half years of professional experience at Wong Logan Architects, working directly with the lead architect and project manager. During this time, she contributed to a wide range of projects, including mixed-use developments, ferry terminals, offices, and restaurants. Beyond supporting senior architects on design tasks, she also engaged in marketing efforts, producing project videos, preparing competition submissions, conducting image post-production, and assembling RFQ and RFP packages.
With a strong commitment to social impact, she strives to enhance living environments, promote social equity, and advance architectural sustainability. She is drawn to architecture’s innovative construction methods and the profound human experiences and social values it fosters. At the same time, she has continued to nurture her love of art — practicing oil painting and exploring other artistic forms — and strives to build a career where architecture and art grow in harmony. She has since relocated to Los Angeles to further her journey in both architecture and art.
